VC CUK calls on Governor | KNO

JAMMU, JANUARY 5 (KNO) : Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din Mir, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today. Prof. Mir informed Governor about the current status of infrastructure development of the University and the other challenges relating to the rapid growth of this institution which has now grown to a student strength of over 2000 from a mere 300 when it commenced functioning. Governor re-iterated his concern, which he has been voicing to all VCs in the State, to ensure that their institutions remain totally apolitical and do not allow any contentious elements taking root.(KNO)
